Highway construction standard cost per km to reach 5.05-6.01 million Euro

Highway construction works per km will have a standard cost of 5.05 to 6.1 million Euro plus VAT and major repair works railways will cost 1.19 million Euro/km plus VAT, according to a government decision project passed by the Transport Ministry, according to Mediafax.

Cost standards will be updated regularly or whenever necessary, by government decision at the Transport Ministry\'s proposal, based on technical progress and prices of specific resources in transport infrastructure and/or based on requests from other specialized bodies.

The provisions do not include expenses to several chapters in the general investment plan, as approved by Government Decision 28/2008, more specifically expenses for obtaining and arranging the land, expenses for assuring utilities necessary to the objective, design and technical assistance expenses, technological samples and tests expenses or transfer to beneficiary and others.

According to the document\'s addenda, the standard cost per highways outside urban areas in hill and plain regions reaches 5.05 million Euro and in mountain regions, 6.1 million Euro.
